I spoke in Parliament on the magnificent milestone that saw Greek Australian newspaper Neos Kosmos celebrate its 60th anniversary. Neos Kosmos is more than a newspaper - it's an institutions and one of the most influential of all ethnic media.
The importance of Neos Kosmos was evident throughout the many pages of its special anniversary edition, which carried stories and tributes to members of the Greek Australian community, past and present; and images from its vast collection of photographic archives, documenting the challenging times faced by the Greek Australian community as it made its way through the integration process here in Australia over the last 60 years, but also its success and prosperity here in Australia.
